Heartsy: Dennis Anderson Soap Company

A while back I purchased the Heartsy deal for Dennis Anderson's Soap (13$ for 35$!) I was excited about this deal because the Anderson Soap company is one of the largest Etsy B&B sellers. I ordered the same day (April 7) and the shop was shut down for a few days to deal with the overwhelming overload from Heartsy deals. Even so, my order shipped on April 9th, and arrived today! That is EXTREMELY quick shipping for US --> Canada! Shipping fees were $8.00.

I ordered body butters in Satsuma and Chocolate Drizzle, body lotion in Levo, and soap in Sea Salt Caramels.

Chocolate Drizzle: the scent isn't overwhelming, and it smells just like Chocolate. Very similiar to Quintescential's chocolate fudge scent which I adore. The body butter itself is very thick and creamy, and comes in a 1 oz size. For $6.00, I don't think the price is too bad (especially with the Heartsy deal) but I will be using these as a travel lotion for my hands. I use a lot of lotion to the extent where one jar would probably last me one full body use...
Satsuma: This one is a little too perfumey/strongly scented for my taste. It smells mostly of grapefruit and orange to my nose.
Levo: The lotion is primarily made with cocoa butter, and thus smells of delicious cocoa! Honestly, it smells just like an Aero chocolate bar. This lotion comes in a 4oz bottle size (at the same price of the body butter) but is thinner in consistency. I do think it's a really nice lotion though, it's not too light (even for my dry skin!)
Sea Salt Caramels: On first smell is smelled dead on like my herbal Throat Coat tea, just like licorice. I get tiny notes of caramel mostly on the bottom of the bar. I will probably let this one sit for a while before I decide what to do with it.

Here's a comparison for the body butter size, it fits into my tiny palms. I'm honestly not 100% sure if they're made with a base, but from the ingredients listed in the etsy listings, they look to be completely homemade. It's also important to note that both the butters and lotion are vegan! The ingredients are listed on the Levo lotion & soap label, but not on the butters.

Blaze on

I haven't raved about Brazen Cosmetics for quite some time, eh? ;)
A order arrived today of some random deals I got in on (3 3g pots/$10), mystery grab bag deal, and a 20g pot of Hi-Def I needed as my little pot has been running low. As always, my packaged arrived neatly packed with tissue paper and love!

Aren't these the cutest bags ever?? I love cupcakes!

The entire order! I grabbed a 20g pot of Hi-Def, Perfumes in Girly Girl & Dreamy, 5g pot of Luxe, Oath, Frenzy blush, Cheeky, Blaze lipgloss, and the new Au Natural lipgloss. The Dreamy perfume smells like a fancy store brand, and has a very comforting scent.

As always, ingredients are fixed on the label of every pot!

Now for my rave about Blaze... The moment I opened my package I HAD to try it on! Isn't it just a hot color? It looks totally retro, a bright opaque red-orange. It can definitely be toned down, but I think it would look super sexy with winged eyeliner. I'm just bare faced here!

Frenzy, Oath, Luxe, Cheeky, Main attraction, Jet setter glitter gel, Blaze, Summer LE: Au Natural

Package from Rosella Resin

My package from Rosella Resin on etsy arrived today! Shipping was extremely fast (within Canada) took three days. As mentioned before, the owners Jessica & Gwynne have great C&S. They responded promptly to my convos, my package arrived bubble wrapped and neatly packaged with a thank-you note. I'm very pleased with their shop and quality of items, I will definitely be a return customer!

Both my bangle and ring arrived packaged in a baggie, with a tag from their shop I felt was a nice added touch. (Also love their logo!)

The bangle! Aren't the feathers just gorgeous? The bangle is made of resin, which is hard to describe, but it's very lightweight. The items have very small air bubbles, proof that they are individually handmade. The bangle measures 7.5 inches around (size small in the shop), and fits my tiny wrist fairly well (I could almost use a smaller size :P)

A view of another feather on the bracelet.

The lovely ring! The red feather is even more stunning in real life. Again, the ring is very lightweight, so even with it's size it's not heavy at all. This ring is a size 6, and fits on my ring finger (second from the pinky.) The ring sizing is fairly accurate, I believe my diamond rings are all a size 5.5-6. I might consider purchasing a 7 next time, to have it fit my index finger.

Side view of the ring.

Just gorgeous!! I am extremely pleased with both of the items I purchased! I always encourage people to buy handmade, and with all honesty, have you ever seen jewlery quite like this? To me it's worth every penny of the Heartsy deal I purchased, although I would gladly pay full price for orders to come!

Heartsy & Rosella Resin

Have you heard about Heartsy yet? I registered for an account when I first heard about the website, but only bought my first Heartsy deal yesterday. Yesterday's deal was for Anderson Soap Company, one of etsy's biggest bath & body sellers. I'm excited to receive my order, and will do a review on both Heartsy and Anderson Soap when my order arrives. I do like that the heartsy offers include shipping fees, and if you spend over your voucher amount, the seller will invoice you for the difference.
I wanted to share with you today's deal, 25$ for 65$ spending money at Rosella Resin. Before seeing the deal, I had not heard of Rosella before. They create handmade resin bracelets and rings, featuring feathers, shells, leaves and others. I have never seen anything quite like it, I would buy their entire shop if I could afford to! The bracelets and rings are all sized, so you can make sure you're buying something that will actually fit you. I have quite small hands/fingers, so I'm extremely glad they don't just create "one size fits all." Another reason to buy? They're Canadian!

 Red parrot feather bracelet

 Gold flecks bracelet

 Canadian wheat bracelet

 Red feather ring

Aren't they just gorgeous? Check out their shop for even more gorgeous items, these are just some of my favorites. I love the bright colors of the feathers. Hurry, there are only 55 offers remaining on Heartsy!

Quintescentials Body Butter

Another order from Quintescentials! I placed this one with the debut of the new body butter, on March. 9th. Thank goodness Customs decided to release it to me earlier this time! As usual, my order arrived in a box, neatly packagd. Inside included a thank you card (which looks like recycled paper which is an added bonus!) Samantha also included a sample of her Pink Sugar body butter. It's thinner than the Chocolate butter, but still moisturizing and smells delicious!

The noms.

Here is the Chocolate Mousse body butter! Same great scent as the scrubs and whipped soap, and the butter is very fluffy. As always, ingredients are listed on this product.
I have very dry skin, and I love the formula of the butter! The application reminds me a bit of Lush's massage bars which is a staple product for me. It can feel a tad greasy on the application (you really only need a little) but my skin soaks up all the oils & mositure within minutes. I've been applying this to my hands on & off all day, and the scent is still lingering (Yum!) My hands feel very soft and hydrated.

I purchased the 3 oz size Pumpkin Cheesecake scented scrubs (just a tad bigger than the Chocolate Fudge scrubs) which comes with 3 good sized scrubs for 3.00. I will be breaking these up so I can get more uses out of them.

I really like the sample sized tubs! Pictured here is the Pumpkin Cheesecake whipped soap. The texture is a little thinner than the Chocolate Mousse whipped soap, and it looks like there's some pretty gold mica sparkle in the mix!

Chocolate Bunny soap pack (12 bunnies for 2.50) which come in the cutest carrot bag! I'm going to get more of these to give to some family members for easter. The bunnies have a yummy chocolate scent.

Close up on the bunnies! They are enough for an IND shower use, I'll probably use some as a hand soap in the bathroom around Easter time as well.

Bunnies! Can you see their glimmer?!

More from Quintescentials

I placed another order for some Quintescential goodies during a sale. I purchased the Lavender Vanilla bath fizzies (12 for $5.00), Red Velvet Cake soap, and the Chocolate Mousse whipped soap. Samantha included three Jelly Bean scented bath fizzies for me to try out! Shipping for my order was $6.50, and it actually cost her over $7.00 to ship.

This was my second order with Quintescentials, and once again I have to stress Samantha's customer service. I emailed her about my order over the weekend (probably the third time I've mentioned this now, but shipping seems to be taking quite a bit longer than usual) as it had been a month since my order was placed. Ironically, my order arrived today! I also want to stress that with the delays I have been noticing, it is NOT the sellers fault. The US postal service in combination with Customs seems to be even slower than usual. It's sort of funny that buyers in completely different continents are receiving their orders faster than us Canadian's, especially when I'm so close to the border.
My order arrived packaged in a box, wrapped in spring colored tissue paper and the bath fizzies were heavily wrapped in thick bubble wrap;. Other than some loose bits at the bottom of the bag, I'm pleased to say the fizzies ALL arrived in tact! (Not that it would've been a big deal if they weren't.)

Lavender Vanilla Bath Fizzies! Each fizzie is 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inches, enough for one use but I will probably break them up into halves. The scent is an even mix of lavender and vanilla, not too strong. I liked that they arrived in a ziplock bag, because I usually transport my bath items into their own baggies anyway. I will most likely take a bath later tonight and post photos of the fizzies in the tub & a review!

The soap is just as pictured, except the bottom red contains red mica glitter! Very pretty. The ingredients are all listed on the label.  It smells like yum. Mostly cream cheese with a hint of chocolate, again I will try this later on.

Now, this was the original reason for my order. Samantha just released Whipped Soaps, so far they are available in her Chocolate Mousse, Jelly Bean, Pumpkin Cheesecake or Pink Sugar scent. The scent is a tad fainter than the Chocolate Fudge body scrubs which I love. It smells AMAZING! Have you ever tried Jello's chocolate mousse pudding? It has a similar scent and a fluffy texture. It's actually thicker than most whipped soaps, and doesn't leave me feeling dry. I tried it on my hands and 5 min later there is still a light scent, yum!

Jelly Bean bath fizzies! The scent is very sweet, and the fizzies have a mix of pastel colors.

If you haven't already, join Quintescentials on facebook!  Samantha lists coupon codes for use in her Etsy store almost weekly, as well as sneak peeks of new items!
